Brinkberry is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not require user accounts, passwords, or personal identity profiles to search for events.

Approximate Geolocation: When you permit browser location access or search for a city, your approximate coordinates (latitude and longitude) are used strictly to calculate distance to nearby events within your requested search radius. We do not store or track your real-time GPS history.
Local Preferences: Selected preset cities or filter preferences (e.g. vibe filters, search radius) may be stored locally in your browser’s localStorage for your convenience.
Server Logs: Like standard web services, our servers (hosted on Vercel) log basic diagnostic details such as IP address, request timestamp, browser user-agent, and referral URL for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.

2. Outbound Links to Third-Party Ticketing Services

When you click “Get Tickets” or event links, you leave Brinkberry and are redirected to third-party services such as SeatGeek, Ticketmaster, Viator, or venue ticketing pages. Those third parties operate under their own independent privacy notices and terms. We encourage you to review their policies when purchasing tickets or submitting payment details.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party APIs

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information to third parties or data brokers. We query third-party event APIs server-side using geographic coordinates to fetch public event listings without transmitting personal user identifiers.

4. Affiliate Partner Networks & Tracking Technologies

Brinkberry participates in performance marketing partnerships with third-party affiliate networks, including Impact.com and Commission Junction LLC (CJ Affiliate), to earn referral commissions when visitors follow links from Brinkberry to purchase tickets or experiences.

When you click on an affiliate ticket link or browse event pages, these networks and participating advertisers may deploy cookies, web beacons, and device tracking technologies (such as the Impact Universal Tracking Tag and CJ tracking identifiers) to measure impressions, track referral clicks, and attribute qualifying ticket purchases. No directly identifiable personal information (such as your name or email) is shared with these networks by Brinkberry.

5. Fan Demand Signals & Anti-Abuse Protections

Brinkberry operates a community demand signal feature ("Bring This Comic to My City") to help independent touring comedians identify geographic audience interest.

Salted One-Way IP Hashing: We do not store raw IP addresses. Incoming requests are passed through a cryptographic salted SHA-256 one-way hash solely to enforce rate limiting (maximum 5 requests per 10 minutes) and 30-day anti-astroturfing deduplication. Raw IP addresses are discarded immediately after hashing.
Consent-Based Email Retention: Email addresses submitted on demand forms are strictly optional. We only retain an email address if you grant explicit, affirmative consent to receive tour announcements for that specific comedian. If you do not provide consent, your email address is not stored. We never sell, rent, or share your email with third-party advertisers or data brokers, and you may request removal at any time by contacting privacy@brinkberry.com.
